Located in western Idaho in the town of Moscow (with satellite campuses in Boise, Coeur d’Alene and Idaho Falls) the University of Idaho hosts around 12,000 students annually. The school offers over 140 distinct undergraduate and graduate degree programs in a wide range of studies, including several related to the media arts. The Art department, for example, offers degree programs in Interior Design and Virtual Technology & Design (including Animation and 3D Modeling), while the School of Journalism and Mass Media offers a degree in Broadcasting and Digital Media, which prepares students for careers in film, broadcasting and other media.
