Located in Murfreesboro, TN, Middle Tennessee State University is a large school with an enrollment of over 25,000 students, offering undergraduate and graduate degrees in dozens of fields of study, including Nursing, Music, Aerospace, Social Work and many others. In addition, MTSU has a nationally renowned Recording Arts program through its Department of Music Industry, offering bachelor’s degrees in Audio Production, Music Business and Commercial Songwriting, as well as a Master of Fine Arts in Recording Arts and Technologies. One of the largest programs of its kind, the Department of Music Industry alone sees an enrollment of 1200-1700 students annually.

Tuition rates are exceptionally favorable to Tennessee residents; undergraduate full-time tuition is in the ballpark of $3300 per semester for residents, and nearly three times that amount for non-residents.
