Review by Jacob K.
February 8, 2012 1I am a musician that went to Audio engineering school to try to make it in the music industry. I tried to cultivate multiple options into the business. I Graduated from Media Tech Institute March of 2009. I worked under the table for a guy that ran sound in a bar on 6th st but felt that he took advantage of me and didn’t like to pay me. I think he still owes me 50 dollars. I am still looking for engineering work I sometimes play my guitar on the street for coffee money in downtown Austin. My goal is to find a entry level or even a internship in a studio where I can learn from some person more seasoned in the industry. I still have about 9,000 dollars that I have to pay. The school cost 21,000 for the full year. I know know it’s very expensive for what you get. There’s simply too much to learn for them to squeeze it into one year. I would recommend going to a university or even a community college rather than a technical school. Employers just don’t take me seriously. I’ve been told I’m not considered a Audio Engineer.
Debt Accrued: $5,001 - $10,000
