Located in Madison, Wisconsin, Madison Media Institute is a small but reputable career-focused college focusing exclusively on media arts studies. The school currently offers associate’s degree programs in six fields of study: Graphic Design & Digital Media, Recording and Music Production, Video Production & Film Editing, Music Management & Entertainment Business, Video Game Design & Animation, and Audio Visual Systems Technology. The Recording and Game Design programs are also offered at a satellite campus in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
The school blends a career focus with a standard college format; all associate’s degree programs require two years to complete, with the exception of the Game Design program, which takes five semesters. Classes can start at three different times during the year (summer, fall, spring).
