November 22, 2011 1I attended California Recording Institute in San Francisco and graduated September 1999. They have changed their name to Globe Institute of Recording & Production. http://www.californiarecording.com/
At the time, the school absolutely met my expectations. I learned exactly what I wanted. Looking back, I wish there was more emphasis on audio for film & television. I got a job right out of school, working for an ad agency called Music 3 Int. at their in-house recording studio, making radio commercials. Since then, I have gone on to work as an audio director at a church for 7 years, then doing live broadcast audio for 2 years after.
Throughout the time since school, I have also free-lanced doing production on demos and albums for local artists, recording engineering, editing & mixing, mastering, live sound, boom and mix for small features and student films. I’ve really wanted to break into post production audio in film and television, but have been unsuccessful. I’ve been unemployed since July of 2009.
